You can change your Instagram password on mobile OR desktop
There can be several reasons why you need to change your Instagram password; maybe you've received a security warning, maybe your accounts has been compromised, maybe you just need to change it so that it doesn't match all of your other passwords.
Luckily, it's very simple to change your password in the simple steps outlined below.
How to change your Instagram password on the mobile app
Open the Instagram app on your mobile phone.
Tap your account icon in the lower right-hand corner to go to your profile.
Tap the 3 lines in the top right-hand corner to open up the menu and tap settings.
Tap security.
On the security page, tap password.
Enter your current password and then input the new password your wish to use.
Please note that your password must be at least six characters long and should include a combination of numbers, letters and special characters (!$@%:).
